17 members of our church family gathered at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday August 22 and unboxed food and then packed up backpacks for the weekend backpack program. After working for 2 hours we had packed up enough bags for the month of September with about 120 bags going home with Webster City students each weekend. Amid good conversation and laughter, bags were packed with milk, juice, cereal, peanut butter, fruit and other goodies that will help make sure that kids have something to eat on weekends.
Thank you to all who volunteered and were able to hang in there for as long as it took. Your hard work and dedication was very much appreciated.
